Negotiation Across Cultures
April 25th, Wednesday

Throughout the day, we are required to negotiate with business clients and vendors, bosses, colleagues and team members.  Adding to the complexity of negotiation is the presence of diversity.

Diversity in cultures range from corporate and business to nationality, generational, gender, etc.

Learn the elements of successful business negotiation within multicultural environments.

During this seminar, Peter Nixon will share with us:

  • Elements of successful negotiation - people, process, content
  • What are the common elements about “negotiation across cultures”?
  • Negotiation in the Asia Pacific Region vs. the West, what are the differences?
  • Motivations – how we negotiate depends greatly on what motivates us
  • Cross-cultural negotiation involving conflicts – different folks, different approaches

Change your Posture, Change your Life
May 29th, Tuesday

With Chris Watts

Do you often experience tiredness in your feet, lower back/neck pain or leg and foot strains?

Excessive walking, impact at the gym from aerobic workouts, long hours in front of computers and possibly improper footwear have an adverse impact on our posture and spine.  Over time, not only will this slow you down by making you less efficient; it will also put tremendous strain on your joints leading to arthritis and other painful ailments.

If you experience any form of movement dysfunction and pain, you can benefit from this talk on postural re-alignment through corrective stretching.  Learn the importance of good posture and incorporate simple stretches into your daily routines to help strengthen your spine.  Educate yourself on how to correct your posture and reduce your risk of developing debilitating pain that will compromise your productivity at work and in your daily activities.

Speaker Profile – Chris Watts, Stretch Ltd.
A body therapist who specializes in Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), Chris Watts opened Asia’s first dedicated stretch studio Stretch Ltd. in 1999 to popularize stretching as a necessary part of health, fitness and well being.   Qualified as an AIS practitioner in the US, Chris helps working professionals and executives relieve aches and pains from their overworked bodies, resulting from lengthy hours of work and bodily injuries from daily activities such as walking, sports or simply bad posture.  Chris will also share his insights, challenges and successes on developing a small business in Hong Kong and the UK.
