25th Anniversary Sponsors and Supporters
To highlight the past 25 years in Hong Kong, the 25th Anniversary Committee has produced a 36-page commemorative publication which details HKABPW's contribution, in the fields of legislation and education, towards raising the status of women within our community and widening the educational opportunities available to them.
We are grateful for the corporate support of Cathay Pacific, Citigroup, Clarins, CLP Power, Crown Asset Management Limited, Financial Partners International, Lan Kwai Fong Holdings, Sara Beattie College and Texon International. Through the generous support of these companies, HKABPW donated HK$35,000 to Harmony House’s "Women Empowerment and Services" training programmes.

Community Donations
To celebrate HKABPW’s 25 years in Hong Kong, the Association is supporting Harmony House, a voluntary organisation whose goals are:
- to provide protection, caring and empowerment of women and children who are victims of domestic violence
- to counsel and give guidance to batterers in order to stop the cycle of violence
- to provide education to the community at large as well as specific target groups in order to promote family harmony.
HKABPW donated HK$35,000 to contribute to Harmony House’s “Women Empowerment and Services Project”. This project provides learning opportunities through courses related to English, Computer Knowledge, Beauty and Make-up, Hairdressing and Peer Education.
These courses enable victims of domestic violence to improve their life through the acquisition of skills and training.
Funds over the years have been donated by HKABPW to:
The Pam Baker Scholarship for women studying human rights at Hong Kong University
Federation of Women’s Centres
- The Chinese University’s Today’s Woman Programme
- The Federation of Women’s Centres
- The Telephone service of the Rape Hotline
Successful Storage and Distribution of HKABPW 25th Anniversary Booklets
We are delighted to report the very positive response to our request for help in storing and distributing our 25th Anniversary booklets. Up until now the Sara Beattie College has been kindly providing storage for us but because they are moving we needed to find alternative storage.
Crown Relocations have very kindly taken 4,000 copies of the booklet and will be storing and including them in their welcome package to newcomers to Hong Kong over the next couple of years. This we feel is an excellent means to reach out to new people arriving in Hong Kong. Our grateful thanks to Anastasia Vuong at Crown Relocations for arranging this service.
In addition, a number of members and outside organizations have agreed to store and distribute the booklets and a list of those who have had boxes of 100 booklets delivered to their office/home is given below. Our very grateful thanks to all concerned.
