HKABPW Corporate Image Building Program Wins Award of Excellence
The HKABPW Corporate Image Building Program submitted by the City University student team to the Awards for Publication Excellence (USA) won an Award of Excellence. One hundred Grand Awards were presented to the outstanding work and 1,667 Awards of Excellence were presented to exceptional entries (almost 5,500 entries entered this competition this year). The student team who redesigned the HKABPW logo in line with the guidelines of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women, designed our first ever membership brochure and mentoring program brochure, and redesigned our new website (www.hkabpw.org) are one of the first university teams to win such an award with APEX.
The students worked very hard on designing our new HKABPW logo, the brochures and the website and should be commended for their outstanding work. Besides working on the corporate image building program, the student team also assisted HKABPW with a few major events.
The best part of this 6-month project is that the fresh grads have formed the first university club or chapter of HKABPW in 25 years.

Professional
Communication Program
A third year student team studying
English for Professional Communications at City University of Hong
Kong is assisting the Hong Kong Association of Business and Professional
Women in our Corporate Image Building program, and major events such
as the Annual General Meeting, Mentoring Program and Women Directors'
Forum. The degree program focuses on developing both language and
communication skills used in the media and business sector. This Project
began in September 2003, and will end in March 2004 with an exhibition
at City University.
Utilizing the student talent of Final
Year students, the team assisted HKABPW in a corporate image building
program which took place over a six month period. The City University
Team designed a new logo, membership brochure, mentoring program brochure,
and designed a new website for the association. The also assisted
HKABPW with major events such as "Education Past, Education Future"
- our annual general meeting, Women Directors' Forum for International
Women's Day, and the Mentoring Program Introduction Night, Launch
and workshops.
The student team will also assist the
Association in the founding of a student chapter or university student
members for the HK Association of Business and Professional Women.
